Message	You have to use the key to lock the door from the outside...you cant lock it from the inside when the door is open, thus preventing you from locking your keys in your car. You can however lock the door from the inside while the door is closed, I assume for safety while driving. Thought that was pretty cool. I learned it while reading my manual for my 75 280z.
